ABOUT
direct.hit, in its current state, was founded in 2004 by mel.o.d, dj barfly and rooka in mannheim/germany. originally mel.o.d and barfly used "direct.hit" as a tag-team-name for their b2b-activities on the turntables.
not only a long lasting friendship bond all three artists together, but so does also their passion for music, the dream of being independent and the desire for self-fulfillment.
direct.hit stands for electronic music. influenced by break-beats, drum & bass and 80s music as well as having an ever-growing curiosity towards the widely offered palette of music styles, these three artists deliberately refuse to emphasize their work only on one particular genre.
creating something enjoyable and being able to express yourself through music is the initiative behind this project rather than wanting mass popularity or to make millions at any price.
